Carolynne (Caz) Favager is one of our newest Rise franchises. Covering her hometown of Southport, Ormskirk and Formby her impressive start means that she has delivered 46 seated sports sessions across 28 different care settings. This means she has 357 people of varying ages and abilities and with varying physical and mental health challenges, have already benefited from our activities.
Caz has worked in the care sector for over 25 years, cumulating in being Head of Quality for Cera Care one of the UK’s largest Home Care providers, employing more than 10,000 carers and nurses.
So, what made Caz leave a very successful career in the Care Sector to set up her own Rise Business?
Over to Caz – “I always wanted to run my own business and having worked for several of the UK’s leading home care franchises I saw clearly how franchisees benefited from running their own independent business under a strong franchise brand, with excellent processes and systems and amazing support. However, the care market has become increasingly competitive, profit margins are continually being stretched, recruitment is a particular challenge, it a 24 hour a day operation, and meeting the needs of the CQC, who regulate care services is becoming increasingly challenging.
When I discovered Rise, I realised I could continue to make a huge difference to people’s health and well-being and run a very successful business, in a market with very limited competition and a much simpler (and profitable!) business model. I had also worked with one of Rise’s co-founders, Trevor Brocklebank, before and was very excited to get involved with Rise as it starts its franchise journey across the UK.”
