Rise Brighton

We are delighted to bring Rise to the local area and offer seated sport activities across a range of settings from corporate team building to community groups through to hospices, hospitals together with care and nursing homes. We cover the following areas Brighton, Hove, Newhaven, Peacehaven Portslade, Rottingdean, Shoreham, Southwick.

About us

Pam Gordon and her growing team opened in the area in Autumn 2022 and love building contacts and connections in and around the Brighton & Hove, whether working with lunch clubs, day centres, charities and community groups or running activities with a care or nursing home, we can help.

We are open to finding out if our fun, socially inclusive seated sports activities might be a fun way getting people moving but also bringing teams together whether for a fun team building event or for a regular activity in your care setting. Our service is flexible, and we like to get to know you and are happy to tailor activities to suit your setting and requirement. We are always happy to have a chat, either on the phone or in person.

Pam and the team would love to hear from any organisations who would like to learn more about the services Rise offers.

Our Team

Pam

Pam

Managing Director

Pam has a business and care background but came to open Rise because of personal experience in seeing her own Grandfather in care settings and seeing what Covid restrictions did to his wellbeing and capacity. So, saw Rise as a wonderful opportunity to bring the fun, laughter together with movement and social togetherness in running a great local service – whether as corporate team building, running fun group activities within a care home or providing 121 activities for those less able to be in social groups.

Jimmy

Activity Lead

James or ‘Jimmy’ is a musician and DJ by background and started with Rise in August 2023 as he wanted to use his own personal experience in caring for his mum (who he supported with dementia) and taking this experience and giving something back to his local community. Jimmy says: For me, the best thing about working for Rise is that it is rewarding. It is a pleasure to bring so many positive elements being happy, sociable, and energized to the Residents in care settings. The work is always fun, there is plenty of laughter amongst everyone. It is lovely to form an ongoing bond with the residents and to get to. ow them, individually & collectively. The Rise sessions are fun to lead and varied. They are also a good opportunity to get a bit of exercise yourself! The care settings are nice places to work, and the staff always make me feel welcome & appreciated. I feel that Rise have a great ethos, and positive, exciting ideas that benefit the residents.
