Meet the team behind Rise

Rise was the brainchild of Rob Oyston who developed the idea for the movement based programme following a stay in hospital. Originally operating under the MobiGame brand, Rob successfully launched his programme in the care home sector where the vibrancy of classes and inclusivity of the adapted sports activities won over the hearts and minds of residents and care home owners alike.

Enter business, franchising and care sector experts Trevor and Sam Brocklebank, and Rise was born. The programme is ideally suited to franchising with the unique model and processes developed centrally and delivered locally by skilled franchisees and their teams. Rob, Trevor and Sam are joined by a fantastic management team who share their passion.

Rob Oyston

Rob is a qualified teacher, an experienced entrepreneur and a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme. A keen sportsman, he came to fully appreciate the need for Rise services after a stay in hospital resulting from a serious illness. The experience led Rob to design and deliver positive experiences through physical activities for people, initially to elderly care home residents. Originally operating under the Mobi-Game name, Rob’s programme brings real benefits to participants whilst impressing the regulatory authorities looking for positive outcomes in care settings.

Trevor Brocklebank

Trevor has built multiple businesses including Home Instead – one of the UK’s most successful home care franchise companies – which he built up to a turnover of more than £100m, winning the Queens Award for Innovation, before selling in 2016. Rise joins a number of companies benefiting from Trevor’s experience and stewardship; all are purpose driven and make a difference to the lives of all involved. Trevor was voted one of the top ten most influential people in Social Care.

Sam Brocklebank

As co-founder of Home Instead in the UK, Sam has a broad understanding of the social care sector and the need for meaningful activities for seniors. Like Trevor, she is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and committed to developing companies that give back to society. Sam has a particular interest in those who work in the care sector and the need to empower them to deliver outstanding results for their clients. Sam is also passionate about sport and is actively involved supporting Cheshire Netball.
