An amazing celebration of sport

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games hosted in Birmingham are a fantastic demonstration of how sport can be used to bring people together.

It’s on a different scale altogether to our Rise sessions but it’s wonderful to see athletes and communities from countries far and wide celebrating sporting achievements.

We are thoroughly enjoying watching this fantastic celebration of sport. Swimming, Athletics, Track, Powerlifting, Table Tennis and a Triathlon have all been contested.

At Rise we were thrilled to hear that this year’s Games has had the largest para-sport program ever at a Commonwealth Games. This was a Games for everyone and that’s certainly cause for celebration.
