About us

Caz Favager and her team are committed to supporting local people to keep mobile and active in the Southport and Lancashire areas. We offer a range of sports activities and are able to adapt our programme for various settings such as care homes, day centres, hospices and supported living services.

Our activity leaders love sport and the social interaction it brings to the Clients. Our service is really flexible, and we are happy to tailor activities to suit your settings and requirements. We are always happy to talk in person or over the phone.

(Managing Director)

Caz is 44 and was born and raised in Southport. Caz has worked in the health and social care sector for over 29 years, culminating in a Head of Quality and Governance role for one of the UK's largest home care providers, employing more than 10,000 carers and nurses. Caz would be delighted to hear from any organisations who would like to learn more about the services we offer, and people who are interested in becoming Activity Leaders, delivering sessions across their local area.

Becca is a 22 year old graduate, graduating with a Bsc and Msc in Sport and Exercise psychology and is planning to continue her studies to become a registered psychologist. As a competitive swimmer and swim teacher, Becca enjoys encouraging people of all ages and abilities to perform to their best and stay active.

Activity Lead

Jo was born and bred in Southport. She is a mum of three and her professional background includes 8 years as an Activities Coordinator for disabled adults and she teaches chair based exercise classes at the local leisure centre, so she is no stranger to providing exciting and fun fitness sessions to all ages and abilities. Jo has a solid background in entertainment and customer care, and she is a confident and dedicated member of the team providing fantastic sessions for Rise!

Activity Lead

Gemma was born in Preston and has lived in Southport for the past 14 years. Over the last 20 years, Gemma has been a Special Educational Needs Teacher, teaching a range of subjects to 11-18 year olds. After deciding to have a change in career, she came across a way to utilise her knowledge, skills and passion for making a difference, and began working for Rise. In her spare time, Gemma plays netball, enjoys gardening and is an avid dog lover.

Activity Lead

My Name is Daniel Brides , I started my career coaching tennis and football before moving into full-time employment. I worked in the prison service and then for the NHS for 20 years, supporting people with substance misuse issues, a role which was incredibly rewarding. I love helping people, and working for Rise will allow me to continue to do this! I've also recently set up my own dog walking business which I continue to do alongside Rise.
