The team at Rise Cardiff, Newport & Bridgend believe that true wellbeing goes beyond physical health – it’s about connection, community, and feeling empowered. That’s why we were so proud to take part in Right at Home Cardiff & Newport’s Big Green Picnic at Thornhill Park recently.
Despite the classic Welsh weather, the atmosphere was full of warmth, laughter, and shared purpose. The team were delighted to support this special community event with an energising sports and movement session – helping people come together through the power of activity.
Our amazing Suzy led a fun, inclusive session designed for all ages and abilities. Whether it was stretching, simple games, or just moving to feel good, the goal was to get people engaged and smiling – and it worked! The weather didn’t stop anyone from joining in, and it was wonderful to see such positivity in motion.
Rise Life were incredibly grateful to Right at Home Cardiff & Newport for inviting them to be part of the day. Their dedication to creating meaningful community moments aligns perfectly with our mission at Rise: to help people thrive through support that’s people-centred, accessible, and joyful.
The Big Green Picnic wasn’t just a chance to connect – it was also an opportunity to give back. Together, the event raised over £200 for Dementia Adventure. Dementia Adventure are a charity that helps people living with dementia to reconnect with nature, themselves and their communities through supported holidays and training. We hope you can agree this is an exceptional cause! We’re always proud to support efforts that strengthen wellbeing in our communities, and this event did just that.
